一、但翻译过来有些许的差别：
1、thanks：可翻译成谢谢、多谢；
2、thank you：可翻译成谢谢您，感谢您。
二、在使用场合方面：
1、thanks更随意一些，比如：
——Would you like a cup of coffee?
需要一杯咖啡吗？
——No,thanks.
不了，谢谢。
2、Thank you后面可跟you的同位语，比较正式，比如：
——Thank you,sir.
谢谢您，先生。
——Thank you,mum.
谢谢您，妈妈。
——Thank you for your dinner.
谢谢您的招待。
thank是及物动词时的用法：
1、感谢[(+for)]
I can't thank you enough.
我对你真是感激不尽。
Thank you for telling me.
谢谢你告诉我。
2、要...负责，责怪
She can thank herself for this accident.
这个事故要怪她自己。
3、(用于will之后，表示客气的请求)感谢，请
I will thank you to turn on the lights.
请你把电灯打开。
thank是名词时的用法：
1、感谢；谢意；谢辞[P]
I must offer my heartfelt thanks to you.
我要向你表示衷心的感谢。
