There is和There are句型怎么用（there is和there are的用法口诀）

There is 后面接单数名词或者不可数名词，There are 后面接复数名词。但是如果连接两个以上的名词的时候，be动词必须最近的名词保特一致，即用：“就近原则”！例句：

There is a pen on the desk.

桌子上有一只钢笔（a pen 是单数，所以用is）。

There are two books in the schoolbag.

书包里有两本书（two books 是复数，所以用are）。

There is a pen and two books in the schoolbag.

书包里有一支钢笔和两本书。（a pen 是单数，且离be动词最近，所以用就近原则，用单数is ）
