1、hundred 的中文意思是：一百； 许多； 大量
例句：

2、hundreds 的中文意思是：好几百；许许多多
例句：
（1）This could be hundreds of years old.
这个可能有好几百年了。
（2）Hundreds of tree species face extinction

二、用法不同
1、hundred 的用法：
基数词+hundred表示具体数目，hundred of的用法是 基数词+hundred of。
例句：
I'm planning to turn over a hundred of the hives to pollen production.
我正计划把100间蜂房改来生产花粉。
2、hundreds 的用法：
hundreds of表示大概数目，不能和具体的数词连用，直接修饰名词。
例句：
