second前加a还是an（the second 为什么后面加one）

你好！second在英语中有两个意义：

1、作序数词，意为“第二”，此时second之前加定冠词the,例如：The yellow river is the second longest river in China.黄河是中国第二长河流。

当然，second作序数词时，之前仍然可以加不定冠词a: a second意为“又一个，另一个”，例如：Tommy's parents plan to have a second child.汤米的父母还想要个孩子。

2、做名词，意为“秒”，此时之前只能加不定冠词a,例如：Just a second, the cat disappeared.
