where 引导定语从句与先行词的用法

通常如下两种情况，用where引导定语从句：

1. 先行词是表示地点的名词或代词，并且在从句中作状语，例如：

This is the factory where I worked. 这是我曾经工作过的那家工厂（本句中，先行词是表示地点的名词factory，并且factory在定语从句中作状语，即：I worked in the factory，所以用了关系副词where）

2.当先行词是situation，case，position，point，stage等，并且在定语从句中作状语时，用where，例如：

You could get into a situation where you have to make an immediate decision. 你可能陷入了必须立刻做出决定的境地（本句中，situation是先行词，在从句中作状语，即：you have to make an immediate decision in this situation，所以用了关系副词where）
