以下是一个适合英语入门者的简单英语故事,供参考:
The Little Red Hen
Once upon a time, there was a little red hen who lived on a farm. One day, she found some wheat seeds and asked the other animals on the farm if they could help her plant them. But the cat, the dog, and the pig all said no.
So, the little red hen planted the seeds herself, watered them, and watched them grow. When the wheat was ready to harvest, she again asked the other animals if they could help her. But, once again, they all said no.
So, the little red hen harvested the wheat herself and took it to the mill to be ground into flour. Then, she asked the other animals if they could help her bake the flour into bread. But, once again, they all said no.
So, the little red hen baked the bread herself and enjoyed it all by herself too. The other animals were jealous and asked her why she didn't share the bread with them. The little red hen replied, "I asked for your help, but you all said no. So, I did it myself."
Moral of the story: If you want something done, you have to do it yourself.
